Overview

The LX8117-33CST is a high-efficiency, low-input voltage, current-mode single-stage low dropout (LDO) linear regulator with a circuit protection architecture of current sense, overcurrent protection, and thermal shutdown. It is capable of handling 1A continuous load current and has a dropout voltage of 200mV while offering an input voltage range of 2.7V to 6V. The quiescent current is typically 175uA, although this will vary according to load current, output voltage and input voltage.

Features

The LX8117-33CST voltage regulator features a user-configurable current limit setting, as well as an over-current, over-voltage, and over-temperature protection. It also features a true shut-down mode when the output voltage is less than 1.5V. Working Principle

The LX8117-33CST a synchronous-rectifying, current-mode single-stage low dropout linear regulator. It works by correcting the input voltage with the help of an internal error amplifier, so as to provide a stable output voltage. The regulation loop of the device is composed of the modulation circuit, error amplifier and current-sense amplifier, and the current limit is internally set.
