Aluminum Electrolytic CapacitorsAluminum electrolytic capacitors are electrochemical capacitors that have an electrolyte made of aqueous or organic solvent. They consist of a metal foil, typically aluminum or tantalum, which is anodized to create a semi-permeable oxide layer. This layer, along with a separator, acts as a dielectric material and is soaked with an electrolyte to form the electrical connections between the two metallic plates.
