It is presented in a full range of colors, including red, green and yellow. It is an ultra-low power consumptive module with its Standby Current not more than 10mA. The operating temperature range is from -25℃ to 70℃.

Working Principle

The MAN6980E consists of an 8x8 grid matrix of LEDs with decimal points (where required) to form character and numeric displays. Each LED module has 10 input pins and 2 power lines, one connected to +1V and the other to Ground. These pins are connected to an 84 bit register that enables the LEDs to be individually set to ‘1’ or ‘OFF’. The output of the register is controlled by a microcontroller in order to create the desired display. The controller has dedicated instruction sets that enable the module to easily write individual characters or numbers and change the display intensity. In addition, the MAN6980E LED character and numeric display module is equipped with dozens of built-in signal processing functions, such as Light Regulation for user-defined intensity control, Bright Point for stabilizing the display brightness, Sign Discrimination for identifying the signal from low power source, Standby Control for optimizing power consumption, etc. Finally, the MAN6980E module can be easily interfaced to any microprocessors or controllers requiring character or numeric displays. It is extremely easy to set up and configure, and can be easily adapted to a variety of applications.
