Analog-to-digital converters (ADCs) are specialized devices that convert analog signals, or voltages, into digital signals for processing by computers and other devices. The MAX1076CTC+T is a high-performance, low-power, 16-bit, successive-approximation register (SAR) analog-to-digital converter with I2C-compatible interface and temperature sensor. The ADC operates in two modes: the temperature sensor mode and the conventional ADC mode. In the temperature sensor mode, it converts the temperature into a 10-bit digital output code. In the ADC mode, it converts the analog voltage input into a 16-bit digital output code. The ADC is shipped with three interface options: an I2C interface, an SPI interface, and an LVDS interface.
