The MAX11137ATI+ is a high performance, low power, successive approximation, analog-to-digital converter (ADC). It is low power, differential voltage input design which features an ultra-high resolution of 24 bits, yielding excellent AC and DC performance to virtually eliminate system DC accuracy errors over temperature. This ADC provides 8- or 10-bit-wide bus interfaces and is designed for applications such as industrial process control, molecular diagnostics, medical imaging, automotive electronics, and so forth.

The MAX11137ATI+ Data Acquisition ADC gives gradual resolution at the beginning, then uses an iterative process to get high accuracy readings. The successive approximation ADC starts by sampling the voltage present on the input and then using a series of approximation calculations to generate the most accurate ADC value. The MAX11137ATI+ incorporates a high-speed voltage-controlled oscillator (VCO) to provide successively higher resolution for single-ended and differential inputs. This feature reduces the device’s overall conversion time and increases the device’s throughput.

This data acquisition ADC from Maxim Integrated has low power consumption and includes an integrated temperature sensor to measure internal die temperature. Additionally, an on-chip programmable reference ensures the desired accuracy over temperature. It implements an interface with an external precision voltage reference at an input voltage range of 1.8V and 3.3V. It also incorporates an on-chip programmable low-pass filter and a programmable square-wave generator.

The MAX11137ATI+ Data Acquisition ADC features a high-speed converter with up to 2 Msps, which makes it suitable for applications that require speed and accuracy.
