The MAX11300GTL+T is an ideal solution for applications in the Data Acquisition - ADCs/DACs - Special Purpose market. It is a low power, high resolution SAR (Successive Approximation Register) ADC with built-in signal conditioning for signal sources as low as 10mV. Originally designed for low power portable medical, industrial, and consumer applications, this 12-bit prime feature, high performance ADC is an ideal choice for applications like signal acquisition, signal transmission, signal conditioning, and temperature measurements. The ADC features a maximum sampling rate of 1.5Msps, high signal to noise ratio, and high conversion linearity.

The ADC of the MAX11300GTL+T includes on-board signal conditioning that samples and digitizes multiple, low level input signals and connects to an external multiplexer/demultiplexer (MUX or DMUX). It is specifically designed for multichannel measurements and provides a variety of features such as programmable gain selection and guard channels to isolate inputs away from the ADC. Multiplexer/demultiplexers are included to facilitate the acquisition of multiple input signals and allow the ADC to continuously and simultaneously sample multiple signals.

The ADC of the MAX11300GTL+T also supports a built-in temperature compensation feature. This feature channels a temperature measurement through the reference inputs for temperature signal acquisition. A temperature reference can be used to monitor the temperatures of components, such as sensor nodes, multiplexers, and signal sources, that can affect the quality of a measurement. The internal temperature compensation can adjust the data acquisition parameters accordingly so that the ADC can acquire a signal without the errors caused by the temperature-dependent signal drift.
