MAX13362ATL/V+ Application Field and Working Principle

The MAX13362ATL/V+ is a versatile and highly integrated power management integrated circuit (PMIC) targeted at providing high efficiency power supply solutions for embedded applications in the wide range of diverse markets. This PMIC comprises of a wide range of features such as integrated voltage regulator, analog-to-digital converter (ADC), battery charger, oscillator, synchronous buck, general purpose input/output (GPIO) pins. Most of all, this PMIC is optimized to provide power savings, reliability, and flexibility to enable the design and usage of highly sustainable power supply solutions. This versatile PMIC offers not only power solutions but also allows designers to readily implement application-specific functions.

The MAX13362ATL/V+ PMIC is equipped with a wide range of functional features. Its integrated voltage regulator comprises of integrated low dropout (LDO) and buck regulators. The LDO regulator features high voltage accuracy and low operational current. The buck regulator is capable of delivering both voltages up to 12V with a low quiescent current of 150μA. In addition to that, the PMIC also includes a battery charger with a regulated output voltage of up to 4.2V. This makes it ideal for battery-powered applications where charging of the battery is necessary. The integrated oscillator configured as an internal low-speed resonator provides an accurate clock source to the rest of the PMIC’s circuitry. The PMIC’s connectivity is provided by four GPIO pins and an ADC input port.

The MAX13362ATL/V+ PMIC is available in a tiny 24-pin 5mm x 5mm WLCSP (Wafer Level Chip-Scale Package) package. This makes it ideal for space-constrained applications such as wearable devices and other compact systems.
