The MAX15005BAUE+T is a high-efficiency, fully integrated buck switching regulator with integrated MOSFETs designed to deliver up to 3A of continuous output current. The MAX15005BAUE+T is ideal for applications that require a low UVLO voltage and the ability to operate over wide input and output ranges. The device includes built-in input and output voltage scaling, over-voltage and over-current protection, as well as an adjustable soft start. Furthermore, the MAX15005BAUE+T incorporates an integrated high-voltage startup circuit with synchronous switching which allows the output voltage to rise quickly while saving power loss in high-current applications. The MAX15005BAUE+T is a DC-DC switching controller which provides a highly efficient and cost-effective solution for a wide range of applications such as 12V/5V power supplies for USB and gate drivers for processors, FPGAs and ASICs. The device has dedicated input and output pins for controlling the switching operation and can be adjusted to provide the desired output voltage with high accuracy thanks to its integrated voltage controllers. Furthermore, the MAX15005BAUE+T features an adjustable Soft-Start function, which allows for smooth power-up and maintains system stability even in case of high inrush currents. It also has integrated over-current and over-voltage protection for protecting external components as well as a Re-Start logic for recovering from over-current conditions. The MAX15005BAUE+T is ideal for powering DC-DC converters in portable applications and demanding automotive applications due its high efficiency, very low quiescent current, wide temperature range and fast-transient response. It can be used with a broad range of external MOSFETs to reduce the complexity of the power supply design and provides a regulated output voltage with very high accuracy. The MAX15005BAUE+T can operate over a wide input voltage range (2.5V to 18V) and the integrated N-Channel and P-Channel MOSFETs are optimized to deliver up to 3A of continuous output current. Furthermore, the output voltage can be scaled up or down in order to match it to the application requirements or to reduce power dissipation of the system. The MAX15005BAUE+T also includes an integrated soft-start circuit which allows for a controlled and gradual rise of the output voltage and reduces the risk of output overshoot. In addition, the MAX15005BAUE+T has an input under-voltage lockout with hysteresis, an adjustable frequency oscillator, over-voltage protection, as well as integrated over-current protection. The chip can be programmed with a resistive divider or an external signal to set the output voltage, and features an adjustable soft start. This eliminates the need for additional circuitry and reduces design time and circuit complexity. Furthermore, the MAX15005BAUE+T also has a Re-Start logic for recovering from latch-off conditions caused by over-current. Overall, the MAX15005BAUE+T is an ideal solution for a wide range of applications that require a high efficiency and stable output voltage. Its ease-of-use, low quiescent current, rich feature set and integrated protection circuits make it a great choice for embedded systems, industrial motherboard and motherboards, as well as automotive applications.
