The MAX16048ETN+T PMIC - Supervisor are microprocessor voltage supervisors featuring ultra-low supply current and robust output drivers that are ideally suited for battery-backed and power-on reset circuits. This family of voltage supervisors can accurately monitor one or two supply voltages and regulate system power using an integrated voltage reference and Regulator. This PMIC family is designed to keep systems operational by preventing upsetting the microprocessor, diagnostic module or system configuration registers during unexpected power transitions.

The MAX16048ETN+T voltage supervisors provide a comprehensive solution for applications requiring system-level reset, including servers, workstations, routers, hubs, network interfaces and embedded control and diagnostic systems. The integrated voltage reference and Regulator, as well as push-pull or open-drain reset output buffers, provide versatile system power performance in a wide range of chip packages. Using a single reset input, the output logic can be configured as power or ground initiated reset or preset/clear logic.

The MAX16048ETN+T features two independent voltage monitoring circuits that are fully configurable to provide power or ground initiated reset. Each of these circuits may be configured differently to allow more flexibility in reset handling. The Reset output has two gates, a push-pull gate and a open-drain gate, that can be combined to form either a push-pull or open-drain reset outputs for various applications. This allows the system to keep functioning through unexpected power transitions, providing a reliable and robust system protection.

The MAX16048ETN+T PMIC - Supervisors are designed to operate over a wide range of supply voltages (1.5V to 5.5V) and temperature from -25 to +85°C. The integrated voltage regulator provides precise voltage control for microprocessors and other sensitive analog systems. The low supply current, fast response times and open-drain or push-pull outputs make the MAX16048ETN+T ideal for applications requiring accurate reset monitoring and system level reset circuit performance.

The MAX16048ETN+T features an integrated voltage reference, providing a high value stability. This voltage reference is used to generate precise reset threshold voltages, ensuring the reset output is actively asserted at the right voltage level. This voltage reference is also used to generate the reset assertion hold level, providing precise reset timing.

The MAX16048ETN+T has a digital delay/control circuit to control the timer/reset masks and input filters. The delay/control circuit provides extra flexibility for timing and reset filtering to meet a broad range of system requirements. This PMIC - Supervisor also features a 10ms On-Chip delay timer to compensate for system start-up time. The voltage monitor and delay circuits can be configured to operate in one-shot or after-run modes, allowing for precise timing.
