It also detects short and open circuits, and shuts off power to the system if a failure is detected. The device also provides an adjustable power-on reset time delay, meaning the system will reach a known, reliable state before the reset signal is generated. This feature provides improved fail-safe operation, as the reset signal will only be generated after the power supplies have stabilized. For accurate reset function, the MAX16060BTE+ includes a low voltage reset (LVR) generator, which ensures the reset signal is generated accurately by monitoring the power-supply voltage for undervoltage events on multiple power supplies.
