The MAX16115/MAX16116 is a superior, low-power precision supply voltage supervisor featuring an advanced rollout reset architecture. MAX16115/MAX16116 features independently detected and reset of five supply voltages. This device has a remarkable tolerance of -40°C to +125°C temperature range. This advanced reset controllers are design to provide advanced supervisor and monitor functions in complex power management systems. The device supports programmable reset and system enable thresholds, adjustable reset time delays, reset enable filters and levels, reset polarity inversion, and an active low enable pin.

MAX16115/MAX16116 working principle is to provide an advanced power sequencing control. It uses Sequencer Period Variable signal and five independently adjustable threshold and delay to control the power delivery sequence of any number of power supplies and designates the multi-rail power shut down order. This device with "Rollout" reset protection, if a single rail falls out of regulation in that power domain, the reset pin is asserted and the rail is not restarted while the other supplies remain powered. This feature also allows user to program the reset and reset delay times.

With an ultra-low operating current draw of 0.5µA and a typical rise time of 4ms, the MAX16115/MAX16116 is designed to meeting the strict low power requirements needed to survive a wide range of environmental conditions. The device also provides a power good output pin (PGD) that reflects the status of all five VCCA/B supply voltages. This power good output pin can be used as a logic level indicator to the host system, allowing it to indicate and prevent simple catastrophic events or halt the system until reset is asserted.
