The MAX16930BAGLS/VY+ is a universal input, multi-topology, fully integrated power-factor corrected DC-DC controller IC. It requires minimal external components, and features an onboard 4-switch synchronous buck topology for step-down (buck) conversion. The current-mode synchronous-buck topology is one of the most popular topologies used in DC-DC converters. It works through a process of voltage stepping-down, where a larger input voltage is converted into a lower voltage at the output.
