MAX17019ATM+ is designed to be a specialized, power-management integrated circuit (PMIC) device. Offering users a cost-effective solution, this device delivers a wide range of advanced features, including high-efficiency voltage regulation, programmable over current protection, and extended dynamic range LDO. The MAX17019ATM+ was designed to effectively manage power in a variety of IoT, automotive, and industrial applications. Additionally, the device supports a temperature operating range of -40°C to +125°C.The MAX17019ATM+ is a comprehensive PMIC solution that combines a high-efficiency DC-DC synchronous buck regulator, a low-dropout (LDO) regulator, and a single-wire low-battery indicator in a single package. The device\'s programmable PMIC capabilities include thermal regulation, over-voltage protection, phase-locked loop (PLL) settings, and out-of-range warning functionality. The device also allows for integration into a system-level power architecture, utilizing the integrated boost converters to provide support for system-level power management. The device utilizes a single-wire, three-phase power architecture. The high-efficiency synchronous buck regulator provides voltage output ranges from 1.8V to 5.5V while its output current can exceed 5A. Its low-dropout regulator (LDO) provides an output voltage range of 0.7V to 5.5V and is suitable for low-power applications. The two programmable boosting regulators are designed to provide support for the system\'s main supply voltage, eliminating the need for external FETs.The MAX17019ATM+ has two low-battery warning pins: one for undervoltage detection, and another for overtemperature detection. A programmable, 3-bit current limit setting provides over-current protection and operation history tracking. The device has several features to extend battery life, including a power-saving mode, frequency spread spectrum, and programmable auto-startup ramp.For smart control of the PMIC, the device has an I2C-based user interface. This enables users to configure the PMIC for a range of applications. The device also features a digital clock tree with four multiplexer/demultiplexers that provide precision synchronization between integrated components as well as complex non-linear clock signals.
