MAX17690ATE+ is a high performance, synchronous, DC-to-DC switching controller with a high power, low RDSON output stage. Inverter Applications

Working Principle

In Buck mode, the controller monitors the output voltage at the FB pin and adjusts the on-time to maintain the output voltage at the target value. In Boost mode, the controller monitors the input voltage and adjusts the off-time of the power MOSFETs to maintain the output voltage at the target value. In Buck-Boost mode, the controller switches from Buck mode to Boost mode, depending on the input and output voltages, to regulate the output voltage. In Inverting mode, the controller switches the power MOSFETs at a fixed frequency, to generate an inverted copy of the input voltage.
