Introduction

Working Principle

The MAX1771CSA+T DC–DC controller employs a pulse-width modulation (PWM) control method to regulate the output voltage. This device contains an internal fixed frequency oscillator which provides a output frequency up to 500 kHz. The MAX1771CSA+T sets the output voltage by adjusting the duty cycle of the PWM signal. When the output voltage falls below the set value, the duty cycle of the PWM signal increases, which increases the current in the circuit. When the output voltage rises above the set value, the duty cycle decreases and thus reduces the current in the circuit.
