The MAX180ACQH+D is a low-cost, low-power and ultra-high-resolution data acquisition device designed for use in sophisticated applications and automated systems. It offers up to 4-channel simultaneous A/D and D/A conversion, with a single-channel selection/digital data interface, allowing it to be integrated into low-cost, high-pressure, indirect measurement applications. The device is optimized for 5V power supplies, and can operate from 1.8V to 6.5V supply voltages. The device includes a 16-bit delta-sigma analog-to-digital (A/D) converter and a 12-bit interpolating digital-to-analog (D/A) converter.

The MAX180ACQH+D offer a number of features that make it a great choice for a wide range of applications, including precision digital signal processing, low noise applications, low-speed ADC and digital pulse-width modulation (PWM) applications. Digital data can be processed and stored on-chip or transferred to external processors.

The MAX180ACQH+D incorporates a programmable reference voltage (2.5V or 5V) and an optional input Bipolar amplifier to increase channels flexibility. The device can detect positive, negative and low voltage or current inputs from any sensors and transducers. The combination of these features allows for the device to be used with a wide range of input devices such as light and temperature sensors, pressure and flow controllers, among others.

The device supports one-shot conversion and continuous conversion with a serial data format. One-shot conversion enables the device to output the converted data while continuous conversion allows the device to output the converted data in multiple cycles. Additionally, the device supports on-chip buffering and latching that can be disabled or enabled based on requirements.
