The MAX203CWP is structured as a driver, receiver, transceiver. Its base structure comprises of a driver, the differential line and a receiver. The driver is the output stage, the driver is responsible for producing voltage levels, which are to be used by the receiver for signal processing. The differential line is a bi-directional transmission medium for signal exchange, which accepts signals from the output port of the transceiver and sends signals to the receiver. Finally, the receiver is the input stage, responsible for data reception from the differential line.
