max2694evkit+ is a Radio Frequency (RF) Evaluation and Development Kit, Board designed to make evaluation and development of high performance, low power, direct-conversion transceivers easier. The kit and board combine MAX2694, a high-performance, ultra-low-power, single chip, direct-down-conversion transceiver solution for globally broadcast Radio Frequency (RF) applications. With its industry-leading output power, low current consumption, and integrated synthesizer, it is ideal for designing highly integrated receivers, transmitters or transceivers with excellent linearity, typical of analog-intensive transceiver architectures, at a fraction of the power consumption. The MAX2694EVKIT + provides an easy way to evaluate and develop any of the various high-frequency radio-frequency applications, including Global System for Mobile Communications (GSM), 3rd generation (3G), WCDMA, and other IoT applications. The evaluation kit consists of a PCB containing the MAX2694 transceiver IC and appropriate interface components and comes with an accompanying software that allows the user to quickly and easily configure the desired radio frequency application.
The MAX2694EVKIT+ application is designed to operate in the 400MHz to 4.2GHz frequency range using Direct Conversion. It consists of three blocks: an analog section with an integrated on-chip, low noise, voltage-controlled oscillator (VCO), a digital section with an on-chip synthesizer and a digital-to-analog (DAC) and analog-to-digital (ADC). The Analog section includes a low-noise amplifier (LNA), VCO, variable gain amplifier (VGA), and dual-input mixer which offer excellent linearity and performance at very low power levels. The digital section or synthesizer enables fast, easy configuration of desired frequency, bandwidth, power, and other parameters.
The MAX2694EVKIT+ can be used to evaluate and develop various applications such as GSM, 3G, and WCDMA applications. It also includes an evalution kit section which provides an easy way to evaluate and develop any of the various high-frequency radio-frequency applications. It provides two Application Programming Interfaces (APIs) for programming the device and for controlling the settings and configuration. The board can be used with a variety of signal sources, including frequency synthesis signal sources to verify system performance.
The MAX2694EVKIT+ is ideal for developing and testing wireless systems requiring ultra-low power operation, excellent linearity, and wide modulation bandwidths, as well as for applications that require high output power and excellent performance level at very low power consumption. With its industry leading output power, low current consumption, and integrated synthesizer, the MAX2694EVKIT+ is ideal for designing highly integrated receivers, transmitters or transceivers with excellent linearity, typical of analog-intensive transceiver architectures, at a fraction of the power consumption.
