It can be used in a variety of applications, such as network routers, switches, PC modems, and peripheral devices. < h2 > Working Principle < p > The MAX222CDWG4 consists of a dual level shifter, an open-drain level shifter and two CMOS n-type logic drivers with low power consumption. The level shifter is designed to provide maximum noise immunity and low power consumption. The open-drain level shifter provides rail-to-rail level shifting while maintaining a low noise level. < p > The dual level shifter convert the logic level signal from TTL logic family range Vcc/2 to Vcc to the CLT logic family range 0 V to Vcc. The two CMOS n-type logic drivers are supplied with Vcc on one side (logic high) and ground on the other side (logic low). The input of the level shifter has two separate inputs which can be connected to different logic families. < p > The output of the level shifter is an open-drain signal. As the signal passes through the driver, it is shifted from one logic family to another.
