The devices are implemented with an innovative AutoPower feature which automatically enables the devices when a data signal is present on the input buffers.

The MAX236CNG+ is capable of transmitting and receiving data from 3V to 30V. The data rate is programmable up to 300kBPS. The device offers a 25kBd signaling rate at 12V (90% to 10%) and a 250kBd rate at 5V. The device also features Latch-up immunity and immunity from high-speed transient buses due to its high input and output resistance.

The MAX236CNG+ is ideal for applications such as high-speed communication networks, industrial automation, vehicle diagnostics tools, medical instrumentation, point-of-sale terminals, modems, printers and motor control systems.
