MAX236CNG is an integrated transceiver IC manufactured by Maxim Integrated for RS-232 communication. It features two receivers, two break detectors, five drivers, and one transceiver in a 28-pin DIP package. It is fast, low power, and tolerant of long transmission lines. The MAX236CNG can operate from single +5V power supply and generate the ±10.2V transmit swing.
