The MAX237EWG is a high-speed, quad-receiver designed for factory automation, industrial networking, and data acquisition applications. It features a low power dissipation of 3.2W, a maximum data rate of 1 Mbps, and a high input impedance of 6k Ω. In addition, the MAX237EWG has a high level of transient noise immunity and is capable of driving up to four RS-485 transceivers. This makes it an ideal solution for digital sensor networks, as well as other applications requiring high data rates and long-distance communication.

The MAX237EWG is part of Maxim\'s Quad High-Speed Receiver Family, along with the MAX237EWUN and MAX237EWVN devices. The MAX237EWG is a Pin-for-Pin compatible replacement for the MAX237EUA and MAX237EUS, and is designed to provide a lower cost option than the MAX237EWUN and MAX237EWVN. Additionally, the MAX237EWG is available in industrial temperature range (-55°C to 125°C), making it an excellent choice for industrial applications.

The MAX237EWG is a four-channel receiver that can be used to receive data from four source devices, each using a different protocol. The device supports standard protocols such as RS-485, RS-232, and logic level TTL as well as newer protocols such as CAN/LIN.
