MAX241EAI is an 8-channel line receiver and transmitter with low power dissipation and wide operating temperature range. It is mainly used in digital signal interface applications such as microprocessor and computer systems. The receiver operates from a single 5 Volt supply and is pin-compatible with National Semiconductor\'s DSCC-232 (V.22bis) and Signetics\' SmartComm line receiver.

The MAX241EAI is a highly integrated line receiver/transceiver with an operating voltage range of 3 to 12 Volts. It is capable of driving low-power loads and has low power dissipation.
