The device then acts as a thermal protector by using an external current sensing circuitry that monitors the operating temperature. When the maximum allowed operating temperature is exceeded, the MAX24210 turns off the LCD panel. The board also features a variety of switching and selector logic for tactile switches, a programmable LED control, Schottky diodes, power Mosfets, and EEPROMs.
