Each one of the two boards includes user adjustable input/output ports, enabling gain and AGC control.

On the software side, the MAX2612EVKIT# uses a Windows-based Host Applet, developed in Microsoft Visual C# 2010..NET 3.5, to control and monitor all of the communications hardware and software within the kit. The GUI is intuitive and easy to understand, allowing for quick out-of-the box set up. Among its features are a dual-channel receiver with its antenna, receiver tuning, gain/AGC loop optimization and interference cancellation capability; an FFT-based waveform analysis; control of various board parameters; support for graphics recognition and a channel balance display.

With just one click of the mouse, users can conduct a variety of measurements: signal to noise ratio, bit error rate, packet error rate, constellation/ eye diagrams. Furthermore, it enables users to perform systematic tests on a variety of applications.
