The MAX2831EVKIT+ (MAX2831EVKIT+) is an evaluation and development kit for ISM band applications that offers a highly integrated radio transceiver platform ideal for both single chip and multi-chip systems. The MAX2831EVKIT+ includes an evaluation board integrated with a highly integrated radio transceiver platform, which supports components for enable/disable, active low external reset, low frequency crystal, transmission power control, eight pinheaders for connecting RF/IF/VCC/GND, built-in filter, and antenna connector. Additionally, the board has four analog inputs, with two used for power measurement, one for temperature sensing and one for gain control. It also has an on-board power amplifier for improved transmission of the radio signal in noisy environments.

The evaluation board also includes the MAX2831 transceiver IC, with a 0.18-micron CMOS RF IP core optimized for ISM- band operation, providing an Rx sensitivity of -100dBm. The IC is designed for applications that require high dynamic range and low power consumption, with output power up to +15dBm in the 915 MHz band. It also features a highly integrated RF front end designed for small antenna size to reduce the PCB footprints and an on-chip WIFI filter for interference immunity.

On the MCU side, it will decode the data from received signal, and then send the command to MAX2831 EVKIT+ to transmit the corresponding data. In this manner, communication between two MAX2831 EVKIT+ can be established.
