Maxim Integrated MAX2981GCB+ is a low-power, SWaP-optimized, 10 Mbit/s multi-channel Ethernet transceiver, designed to work in challenging automotive, defense, industrial and networking applications. The transceiver integrates single-channel Ethernet transceivers with RGMII (v1.3) PHY, four to eight-channel MII/GMII/TBI/RTBI/TBI-PHYs, and MDIO features. It also features a 32-bit ARM Cortex M4 processor core that provides a flexible, programmable platform for implementing functionality such as protocol customization, communication interface bridging, Quality-of-Service (QoS) and filtering. The MAX2981GCB+ is suitable for implementing Ethernet switching, bridging, and routing functions over multiple physical layers in a power-optimized package.
Maxim’s MAX2981GCB+ enables the integration of Ethernet transceiver functions into a single power-optimized device. The device supports MII, GMII, RGMII, TBI, RTBI, and MDIO interfaces, and offers bit rate flexibility, support for half-duplex and full-duplex communication, and a wide range of messaging options. The transceiver supports 10/100/1000 Mbit/s data rates, and can be used in a range of Ethernet applications.
