MAX3087ECSA+T is an extended temperature version of the MAX3087E, a+TIA/EIA-422-B and -485 transceiver that is compliant with the RS-485 and with ISO 8482/CENELEC EN 50495 as well as compatible with TIA/EIA-485 and -422-A/B standards. This transceiver has a wide range of features such as low current consumption, high ESD protection, and wide supply voltage range. It is designed for industrial, automotive, and telecom applications.This transceiver is used to convert signals from a communication interface. It is used to bridge the gap between digital logic and communication interface devices, by providing electrical interfaces between the devices. With a typical common mode range of -7V to +12V and output short circuit capability of 50V, this transceiver can drive up to 2000m of transmission cable. This transceiver can be powered from a single +5V supply to +12V and consume very low supply current.The MAX3087ECSA+T supports a data transmission rate of up to 30 Mbps and is able to communicate with multiple nodes via a bus system. It features two open-collector drivers with slew-rate control that allows the driver to be adapted to the communication environment. It also has finite on-time receivers that detect and condition RS-485 and -422-B signals.
