The MAX3766EEP+ is a laser driver with a range of applications in power management, communications and LED lighting. The output current for each pin is adjusted independently via an internal digital-to-analog converter, allowing precise control of the current over a wide range of settings. The current settings are also adjustable from the outside, allowing the user to customize the settings for the desired application. Additionally, the device also includes protections for short circuits, overcurrent and overvoltage.
