It contains four channels, each of which is driven by a single input line, and each channel can be independently switched on or off.The IC can be configured to direct a single input signal to multiple outputs, either in a series (“multiplexing”) or in parallel (“demultiplexing”). It is also capable of connecting multiple inputs to a single output (“multiplexing”), and can be used to create a single output with multiple inputs (“demultiplexing”).The MAX354CWE+T can be powered from a single +5V supply, and its output stage includes bipolar current drivers to support low-amplitude input signals. The IC also includes Fast Switching, Thermal Shutdown, and UVLO (Under Voltage Lock Out) features that protect the device from damage due to power supply irregularities.
