The MAX4503EUK is an interface chip that is used for analog switches, multiplexers, demultiplexers, and other related applications. The MAX4503EUK is a fully monolithic IC that contains two independent double-pole double-throw (DPDT) analog switches with a low-power CMOS technology. Each switch can be used alternately as a four-quadrant analog switch, a two-pole linearly steppable multiplexer, a four-quadrant digital switch, and a two-pole digital demultiplexer, with unique features allowing each switch to be independently configured. Each switch contains two low-voltage, high-performance n-channel switches, a n/p-channel switch, and a p-channel switch in parallel.

The MAX4503EUK also offers electrical isolation between the control input and the output circuits, which eliminates cross-talk and interference between multiplexed signals and eliminates noise and distortion due to crosstalk. The pin-programmable logic and control inputs simplify control and allows the logic level of the switch to be reprogrammed easily and cost-effectively. The chip is capable of providing up to four quadrants of control and thus switching directly between two input signals or selecting between four input signals.
