MAX4515EPA Working Principle

The MAX4515EPA uses an IGBT structure to switch between two signals. It features an input voltage range of -40V to 40 Volt, and can be operated at up to 200MHz. The chip utilizes a high-voltage resistor to suppress switching noise while providing low power dissipation. The switch can be operated in either the analog or digital voltage mode.

The chip has two ports that connect to the inputs and the outputs of the switch. The input port is used to drive the inputs and outputs of the switch, while the output port is used to detect the output of the switch. The chip also has a voltage-scaling resistor that allows the user to scale the input port voltage to the output port.

The chip features source and drain terminals. The source terminal is used for biasing and for controlling the threshold voltage of the switch.
