The MAX4583EPE+ is an advanced mixed-signal multiplexer/demultiplexer device. It consists of two SPST switches, a SP4T switch, and two digital multiplexers. With the addition of two digital multiplexers, it enables switching between a wide range of analog input signals, including signals up to 260V Vhms, and digital outputs with the ability to accommodate a wide range of digital circuitry applications. It is the largest member of the MAX4583 family and has the highest performance for both analog and digital applications.
The MAX4583EPE+ is designed to accurately switch between different types of analog and digital signals, including signals up to 260V Vhms. The device features up to 400MHz bandwidth, a fast zero crossing response time of 10ns, a low switching noise to a maximum of -55dB, and a low on-resistances of less than 12Ω for unmatched signal integrity and reliability in high-speed applications. Furthermore, the device achieves excellent dynamic performance with low EMI by utilizing amplifier feedback loops.
The MAX4583EPE+ is comprised of two SPST switches and a SP4T switch. The single-pole/single-throw (SPST) switches are ideal for single-channel applications as they provide low off-state leakage and low switching power consumption. The single-pole/four-throw (SP4T) switch is suitable for applications that require more than one channel switched. The SP4T switch maintains the same maximum on-resistance and bandwidth as the SPST switches. Finally, the device includes two digital multiplexers, each with two digital inputs, two digital outputs, and one output enable pin.
The MAX4583EPE+ can be used in a variety of application fields, such as ground loop and EMI reduction, sensor and remote monitoring, data and video transmission, power measurement and control, and automotive applications. In addition, the device can be configured using either a positive or a negative control interface, allowing for complete compatibility with other voltage and current control circuits. For further flexibility, the device can be combined with other elements, such as relays and transistors, to create more complex multiplexer and switch configurations.
