The MAX4733ETA+ is a dual analog multiplexer/demultiplexer device in industry-standard 14-pin TSSOP and 14-pin SOIC packages, as well as a 20-pin Lead-Free (RoHS Compliant) QFN package. Offering high on-resistance and excellent channel-to-channel switching characteristics, the MAX4733ETA+ provides excellent AC and DC performance, making it the choice switch for passive and active signal routing applications. The MAX4733ETA+ can be used with a variety of signal sources including low-level audio, logic level control signals, 1-Wire® bus and other switch-controlled analog signals, enabling the broadest range of application usage scenarios.

The MAX4733ETA+ provides two normally open high-impedance switches, which can be used for analog signal routing and multiplexing applications. These two switches are identical and both have a low on-state resistance (RON), low off-state leakage current (IOFF), and an extremely fast switch settling time (<2µs). This device features a shutdown (+SHDN), active low, which turns both switches off by grounding the switch outputs.

The MAX4733ETA+ also provides excellent AC performance, with low distortion and crosstalk. This device is ideal for use in applications where high-frequency signals need to be switched and routed in the same package. Additionally, this device is rated to operate over the entire -40°C to +85°C temperature range.

Usage of the MAX4733ETA+ is straightforward. Two control signals (S1 and S2) are used to select between the two separate switch channels. S1 and S2 inputs can be connected to either static logic signals for simple applications or to analog/digital control signals for more complex multiplexing applications. The switch is automatically enabled when both signals are high, and the switch output is in the off-state when both signals are low.

In addition to its analog multiplexing/demultiplexing capabilities, the MAX4733ETA+ also has advanced capabilities such as auto-shutdown, power-up in shutoff mode, and high off-isolation. Its auto-shutdown feature turns off the switch outputs when the +SHDN input is pulled low by a logic control signal. This feature also provides a power-up in shutoff mode, so that the switch is inactive on power-up. The high off-isolation also ensures that no cross-coupling will occur when the switch is off.

The MAX4733ETA+ is an ideal choice for passive and active signal routing applications, with excellent on-state resistance, low off-state leakage current, and fast switch settling time.
