Data Acquisition - Digital to Analog Converters (DAC)The MAX5215GUA+T is a Digital to Analog Converter (DAC) produced by Maxim Integrated. The device is designed to convert digital inputs into a continuous analog output signal. It is ideal for use in consumer and professional audio systems, data acquisition systems, instrumentation, digital signal processing systems and other applications requiring high accuracy and low noise.The MAX5215GUA+T employs a high-performance 10-bit DAC and an advanced mixed-signal circuitry. The device supports a wide variety of digital input formats, including 8-bit to 10-bit standard parallel, and 10-bit I2C and SPI serial data formats. The 8- to 10-bit inputs allow the user to control the output resolution of the DAC. The device offers a full-scale output of ±5V, which can be scaled to the desired amplitude by adjusting the output voltage reference. Maximum output frequency is 200 kHz for 8-bit data and 50 kHz for 10-bit data.The MAX5215GUA+T integrates several features to ensure accurate, low noise performance. An on-chip reference voltage regulator is used to maintain a stable reference voltage supply, eliminating the need for a separate exterior low noise regulator. The DAC features an advanced noise shaping architecture, which reduces noise and ripple of the output signal.
