The MAX5302CUA-T is a digitally programmable voltage output DAC specifically designed for low-voltage, low-power applications. It is a full-featured DAC that includes an integrated OTP memory, two internal channels and two selectable output ranges.The device features an I2C/SMBus-compatible serial interface and an integrated OTP memory for easy access to initialization, configuration and calibration data.The DAC provides a fast settling and very low-power, low-voltage output voltage. Integrated amplifiers allow a wider range of output voltage ranges; from 0.2V to 6.7V (Volt).The device can be used in a wide range of applications such as battery-powered systems, safety-critical medical device monitoring, automotive control systems, pressure and flow measurement, motor control, and more.The MAX5302CUA+T is an advanced, low-voltage, low-power digital-to-analog converter offering excellent performance in both current- and voltage-mode configurations. It is available in an 8-pin TSSOP package, is well suited for low voltage applications and is powered by a single 3V supply.The device has an I2C/SMBus-compatible serial interface which can be used to read and write data to the internal OTP memory. This memory contains five registers which can be used to set the DAC output range and value. The DAC offers two selectable output ranges: 0.2V- to 6.7V and 0.4V- to 6.4V.The device also features automatic self-calibration, which allows for precision accuracy and linearity over the full output range. The MAX5302CUA+T can operate from 0°C to 70°C, and is also available with a 15°– 85°C industrial temperature range option.The output of the MAX5302CUA+T can be programmed via either I2C/SMBus readable registers or 8/10-bit data words via a serial bus. Its output is current limited, allowing it to be safely connected to any load, including the input of an opamp.The device also incorporates power-down, fault detection and open load detection features to provide system protection from device failure or misuse.
