The MAX5947CESA+ is a performance-enhanced, hot-swap controller that provides electronic circuit protection during hot insertion and removal of loads on a live supply. This device is capable of controlling an external N-channel MOSFET to provide inrush current limiting, overcurrent protection, cable short-circuit protection, and power sequencing. In addition, the MAX5947CESA+ features an integrated high-side current-sense amplifier, allowing for remote monitoring of current. This device operates from a 2.7V to 5.5V input-supply voltage range and is available in the 24-bump chip-scale package (UCSP).
