The MAX8510ETA28+T is a voltage regulator which provides comfortable and reliable indication and control of a wide range of power applications. This voltage regulator contains up to a 200 A current capacity and is made up of a variety of materials, including silicon transistors, PMOS transistors and ceramic capacitors. The MAX8510ETA28+T features a Linear voltage regulator module and is capable of powering output from up to 28V on the input.
This linear voltage regulator is made up of two main components, namely an operational amplifier and a power transistor. The operational amplifier is directly connected to the input voltage and functions as a DC amplifier which amplifies an input signal and provides a reference signal to the following power transistor. The power transistor serves as a control element and it is the one responsible for controlling the collector current, which in turn sets the output voltage into its desired value.
