The MAX844ESA+T is a special-purpose CMOS voltage regulator, designed to provide highly regulated 3.3V or 5V output from a wide range of unregulated 6V to 20V input supply sources. The MAX844ESA+T is designed for automotive, industrial, and telecom applications. Its wide input voltage range, low quiescent current, high-efficiency switching topology, and built-in protection features provide better power efficiency and performance than existing linear regulator filtering techniques.
The MAX844ESA+T application field works by using a buck converter based on a fixed frequency pulse width modulated (PWM) control scheme.
