The MAX8599ETE+T is an advanced, cost-effective, and highly integrated system power management solution used widely in power systems, especially for those which require multiple voltage rails for digital, memory and logic core power supplies. This advanced power management device is designed to provide improved power supply design flexibility and superior transient performance. This device is designed to be packaged in a space-saving SOT-23 package, and is ideally suited for powering microprocessors, microcontrollers, digital signal processors, and other digital devices.

The MAX8599ETE+T is a DC/DC switching controller which provides precision, high-performance and flexible power management for microprocessors, microcontrollers, DSPs, ASICs, FPGAs, and other digital devices. It is a two-phase, dual output voltage regulator which operates with a wide input voltage range of 4.5V to 18V. The device is designed to provide multiple, programmable, output voltage rails including: +0.8V, +1.5V, +1.8V, +2.5V, +3.3V, and + VDDQ. The device has independent phases with sequential phase control, allowing flexibility and improved dynamic system performance, with user-defined phase transitioning to provide maximum control of power supply voltage and current throughout an applications power-up and power-down sequences. The device has a wide input range, a slew rate of 1mA per 60ns, and a high noise immunity of 350mV. It features a programmable voltage range and programmable output voltage range which can be easily customized for different digital system applications.

The working principle of the MAX8599ETE+T is based upon a multiple-phase voltage regulation system, wherein the power and control components are distributed among the various phases, allowing for improved system protection and control. The device provides protection against overvoltage (OV), undervoltage (UV), overcurrent (OC), and thermal (TH) conditions, which can be enabled/disabled or enabled/triggered through user programming.
