The MAX8704EUB+T is an advanced power management integrated circuit (PMIC) designed for voltage regulation applications such as portable consumer devices and other embedded systems. It provides high-efficiency linear regulator current for powering multiple supplies in consumer and portable electronic applications, such as mobile phones and digital cameras. This PMIC can support up to 6 outputs and has a high accuracy adjustable output precision within ±1% while operating up to 1.5V and up to 5A output. With the use of a voltage regulation loop (VRL), it is capable of adjusting the output voltage up to 2.3V/3.3V in less than 1us. The MAX8704EUB+T PMIC\'s working principle is based on a series of interconnected voltage regulation loops (VRL) to adjust the output voltage up to 2.3V/3.3V in less than 1us. These VRLs are enabled by an error amplifier which adjusts the reference voltage using a feedback loop around the linear regulator. When a certain output voltage is selected, the error amplifier adjusts the reference voltage until the output voltage is reached. The output of the error amplifier is connected to the programmer switch, which controls the current through the linear regulator and decides the output voltage. The output voltage is compared with the reference voltage and the error amplifier adjusts the reference voltage until the two voltages match.
