The MAX8883EUTA5+T is a low-voltage linear voltage regulator with a selection of output voltages optimized for single-cell Li-ion/Li-polymer battery applications. The MAX8883EUTA5+T\'s excellent output voltage accuracy of up to 0.5% and its low quiescent current of 30μA ensure accuracy and low power consumption. The device provides excellent load and line transient response and a minimum load current of 10μA.
The MAX8883EUTA5+T regulates output voltage in a buck-boost topology, which allows it to step-up, step-down, or provide a fixed output voltage from a source that can be higher, lower, or equal to the output voltage. The device includes an adjustable voltage output, which is set by the external resistors. Additionally, the MAX8883EUTA5+T provides a digital enable/shutdown and current limiting, as well as reverse-battery protection. Working principle
