It is used for applications such as high-speed logic for a variety of system configurations such as logic switching, memory addressing, tributary communications, microprocessor support and high-speed video. The ECL family is constructed and specified differently than other logic families. It has a "push-pull" output structure and requires different input voltage levels. Unlike liquid crystal diodes and TTL, ECL uses an emitter-coupled pair as its switching element. Here, a pair of transistors switches current to the output.The MC10E167FNG is an 8-bit demultiplexer and it is a monolithic integrated circuit. It is built with MOS technology on an N-well substrate. The device has two multiplexed data inputs, D0-D7 and one address input for selecting which of the eight data input lines, D0-D7, is routed to the output, Out.
