The MC14528BDG is a multivibrator integrated circuit, and is most often used to control the frequency of electronic timekeeping devices. It also can be used in various logic applications. This circuit is available in a 14-pin dual in-line package (DIP) as well as in a 14-pin small outline (SO) package.

The MC14528BDG is a bistable, dual retriggerable multivibrator, which is used to generate symmetrical, accurate time delays or oscillation. It contains two stable states: one in which the output Q is high, and one in which the output Q is low. The state of the circuit can be changed, or clocked, by applying a signal to its trigger input. Additionally, it can be retriggered, which means that, upon receipt of a trigger signal, the circuit will re-enter the same state it was in prior to that signal.

The MC14528BDG is the generic term for a device package capable of containing a variety of different types of Digital logic circuit.
