Working Principle
The MC35FS6502CAE adopts a component-level design, which uses several independent voltage regulators with different voltage levels, allowing multiple voltage ranges to power different parts of the device. These voltages are generated by the component-level design by configuring the different regulators to output the desired voltage levels. This allows for an extremely flexible design.
The main function of a voltage regulator is to maintain a constant voltage level. In the MC35FS6502CAE, this is accomplished by using an integrated linear voltage regulator. This regulator monitors the voltage of the input power source and maintains the output voltage at a constant level; this is known as “line regulation”. Additionally, the output voltage is regulated even during variations in the load; this is referred to as “load regulation”.
The MC35FS6502CAE contains several built-in protection functions to maximize the reliability of its products by providing over-voltage, over-current, and over-temperature protection. Additionally, it has several ESD protection functions, allowing it to be used in industrial environments that have strict requirements for ESD.
