The MC56F8300DSK evaluation board is an embedded processor for use in a variety of applications. This powerful board is based on a 16-Bit Freescale MC56F8300 Digital Signal Controller (DSC), with 32-pin J4 Pins Arrays, on-chip SRAM and Flash memory, and dual power input lines with individual resettable fuses.

The MC56F8300DSK board is designed for a wide range of embedded applications, including high speed dedicated digital signal processing (DSP) tasks and applications requiring low power management. The board features 8 KB on-chip SRAM, 128 KB in-system flash memory and 16-Bit Time-Continued Processing System (TCP) enhanced logic. It also supports up to 32-pin (J4) arrays for a variety of peripheral features, including extra GPIO pins for an LCD and keypad interfaces, as well as extra timer/counter and DMA channels.

The MC56F8300DSK board’s DSC allows for low-power DSP applications, such as high-speed frequency hopping and input/output operations.
