The MC7824BT stand-alone low dropout voltage regulator is one of the linear voltage regulators in the PMIC - Voltage Regulators - Linear class. It provides the ability to reduce the output voltage of a linear regulator to near zero volts without sacrificing specifications like output noise, transient response, line and load regulation, and start-up time. The MC7824BT regulator presents an excellent 3A load current capability, output voltage accuracy of +/-2%, input voltage range of 4.75V to 40V, and low dropout voltage of only 0.2V (typical).
The MC7824BT is a three-terminal device with two outputs, one input, and one enable. It is an easy-to-use and reliable solution for applications that require one or two output rails from a single input voltage, such as mixed-signal, DVD, flat panel displays, and 3.3V/5V/12V applications.
