The MC68HC908AB32 is a low-cost, high-performance member The M68HC08 family of 8-bit microcontroller units (MCUs) with embedded EEPROM for user data storage. All MCUs in this family use the enhanced M68HC08 central processing unit (CPU08) and are available in a variety of modules, memory sizes and types, and package types.

5. Function Description
Addresses $0050 to $044F are RAM locations. The location of the stack RAM is programmable. The 16-bit stack pointer allows the stack to be located anywhere in the 64K byte memory space. Because stack RAM locations are programmable, all page zero RAM locations are available for I/O control and user data or code. Direct addressing mode instructions can effectively access all zero page RAM locations when the stack pointer is moved out of the zero page from its reset location $00FF. Therefore, page zero RAM provides an ideal location for frequently accessed global variables. The five bytes of the stack are used by the CPU to hold the contents of the CPU registers before processing an interrupt.
