The MC9S08GT60CB microcontroller is a derivative of the S08GT family, represented by Freescale Semiconductor. It is an 8-bit microcontroller ideal for a range of low end embedded applications such as white goods and medical. The MC9S08GT60CB packs a very powerful architecture, extensive peripheral set, intelligent analog capability and advanced processing power in to a 8-pin package.

The MC9S08GT60CB is aimed at applications that need low cost, low power and low a bill of materials (BOM). With 1K Flash Memory on-chip, it stores user code, data and parameters. It is also equipped with an 8-channel, 12-bit analog-to-digital converter (ADC), with conversion time as short of 10us, and a Serial High speed Communications Interface (SHSI). Its bus access capability helps reduce system memory latencies and accelerates the speed and ability to retrieve stored code data and parameters. This microcontroller runs at 5 to 16MHz, with -40*C to +125*C temperature range.

It uses two power modes, the Run mode and the Stop mode.
