Introduction to PMIC - Supervisors

Power management integrated circuits (PMICs) are a class of integrated circuits (ICs) that are used in analog circuitry and digital signal processing designs. In short, these ICs manage the power supply to a system. As energy-consumption and heat dissipation have become an increasingly significant design challenge, PMICs offer many advantages such as decreased complexity, improved system reliability, and greater efficiency. The term “supervisor” is used to refer to a specific type of PMIC.
